Esteé Lauder: An Amazingly Successful Saleswoman

Friday, July 15th, 2011

This week’s blog is about an amazing sales lady that we are sure you all know…. Esteé buy Levitra Super Active+ online Lauder.

Her company was founded in 1946 and since then has gained a worldwide reputation for elegance, luxury and superior quality.

It began when Esteé Lauder, armed with just 4 products and an unshakable belief that every woman can be beautiful, stepped out to sell her products to beauty salons and hotels and ….. make a difference.

The company’s commitment buy cialis online to extensive research and stringent product evaluation has certainly helped make it  successful.

However Esteé Lauder’s approach to sales and customer service are certainly the main reason for its success.

The Power of Touch

Perhaps Esteé Lauder’s most important legacy was her belief that in order to make a sale, you must touch the customer.

A famous quote of Esteé  is “Touch a face. Touch a hand. Say, This is for you, this is what I want you to wear.”

She spent a great deal of time advising customers and teaching Beauty Advisors. “I didn’t get there by wishing for it or hoping for it, but by working for it,” she often reminded her sales force.

A Great Leader

Esteé Lauder  was also a passionate advocate of sampling. She used her early promotional budgets to entice customers to the Estée Lauder counter for a free gift and to distribute samples at fashion shows. She also pioneered the idea of “gift with purchase” by giving customers who bought Lauder products free packets of other offerings they might like.

One of her favorite quotes was “Tell-A-Phone, Tell-A-Graph, Tell-A-Woman,” based on her conviction that once a woman tried the product, she would like it and then share it with her friends.

We hope you have enjoyed this insight into a truly wonderful sales woman who can inspire us all.

Till next time

A New Take On The 3 Rs

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

The team at Success In Sales For Women wishes all our readers a Happy Easter.  Regardless of your religious beliefs, Easter is seen as a time of renewal. It’s Spring in the Northern hemisphere and down here in the south we see it as a time to recharge after the heat of summer, spend time with precious family and friends and reflect on our place in the world.

We read an interesting article by Paul Howard from Howard Recruitment buy Female Passion Strips online and he suggested we use this time to shift our focus away from the 3Rs we are being bombarded with at the moment – Recession, Restructure and Retrenchment and think………

Re-charge, Re-engage and Re-invent a Difference

Don’t you just love that!

Paul then goes on to urge businesses to take a positive and energetic approach in the current climate.

If we could all follow these 3 Rs we could collectively work towards bringing our world out of this recession and back on the road to prosperity.

Some might think this is just wishful thinking or a flight of fantasy price cialis but hey! what have we got to lose and besides we believe in the Law of Attraction.

We all have to power to think for ourselves, focus on the brighter sides of things, raise our vibrations and encourage and inspire those around us to do the same.

Join us now and the Law of Attraction will respond by sending back good things to mirror our thoughts and actions.

Happy Easter and bye for now

Take a Leaf Out of This Guy’s Book

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

With all this economic unrest and uncertainty it is very easy to become complacent and think that there is nothing you can do to improve your current situation.

Every time you turn on the TV or buy Neem online the radio or stand in line at the supermarket you are bombarded with messages of doom and gloom…..making you feel like it’s all too much….that tough times are inevitable.

Well, take heart! It was so refreshing to hear what the retail giant Woolworths announced this week in Australia. Unlike some companies that are retrenching and downsizing, Woolworths is actually hiring staff…… 7,000 planned for the 2nd half of this year and that’s on top of the 9,000 they hired in the 1st half of 2009.

How good is that! And how good is what Michael Luscombe, the CEO had to say during a recent television interview. He stressed that despite these economic times we need to remain confident and positive in our business and delight our customers”.  Don’t you just love this philosophy!

He believes in continuing to “deliver cialis online benefits to our customer” while also “investing in new business”.

These are the keys to surviving the current economic storm……focus on your customers, be passionate about your customer service and dedicated to giving them a great experience……. after all, they are your bread and butter. And be positive about your business and invest in things that will help you move forward…..and that includes investing in yourself!

Bye for now,
